Flying car - Transition Terrafugia to unviel at the New York auto show 2012

Finally after years of testing, ‘Transition’ the flying car will be unveiled at the 2012 New York International auto show (NYIAS) that will be held from 6-15 of April . The so called 'Transition Roadable Aircraft' developed by the Massachusettes based aerospace company- ‘Terrafugia’ may revolutionize the future automobile industry.

The Transition has wings which can be folded when on-road. It takes 30 seconds for the conversion from a car into a flying craft. On full tank, the car will be able to fly 460 miles at 110 miles/hour speed. The vehicle uses high-octane unleaded auto gas.

The vehicle has been provided with a full vehicle parachute in case of emergency and automotive crash safety features. The Transition can be driven through any road and parked like an ordinary car. Until now, about a hundred of the vehicle has been booked already.

The public will be able to make close views of the vehicle, watch demonstrations of wing folding, and meet the staff behind the development of Transition at the auto show. Terrafugia was founded by pilots and engineers from the Massachusettes Institute of Technology(MIT).

The New Porsche Carrera Cabriolet 911 price,reviews and specifications

About a dozen variants of Porsche 911 car series were exhibited in the international auto show held from 9th of January at Detroit, USA. The price of different variants ranges from 93 lakh to 1 crore 68 lakh. Design of the luxury supercar Porsche 911 is a dual door, rear engine car. The first 911 Porsche car was launched on September 11, 1963. Then onwards, each year new variants with new technological implementations were released.

   Today Porsche 911 is one of the favorite vehicles of racing drivers. It has become the dream of youths. "The American market is very much important for Porsche, that's the reason why we had selected Detroit show for the launch of Cabriolet. New models will be available in American showrooms from next month onwards.", says Porsche CEO Matthias Muller. The company targets a worldwide sale of 25000 Cabriolet 911 models this year, last year’s total sales being 18000 models.

         Though there had been changes in the interior and outer frame of the new 911 Cabriolet, there isn’t any significant change in the engine power.

The engine takes a time of 4.4seconds to reach 96 km from zero. Porsche Cabriolet has the direct injected 3.4 liter boxer-six engine. The wide front track and wheelbase are of Cabriolet .In order to decrease weight, the car body is built up of an alloy of iron, aluminium and magnesium. Last year Porsche has performed well in America. Company sold about 29023 cars in America itself. Among these there were 6016 of 911 model. The company has also decided to start a new centre at Atlanta to boost the performance in America. The new center will start functioning by mid of 2013.

Renault Duster SUV Car Prize, Mileage and other specifications

Renault Duster, the stylish and best SUV was exhibited in the Auto Expo 2012 held at New Delhi. It exceeded the 4m length prescribed for SUVs, thereby entitling it to higher excise duties. Renault Duster is fit for city as well as off-road driving and has the nature of a true 4x4 SUV. Also it will be the most fuel efficient in the 4x2 mode. Renault is the car manufacturer from France, and now they planned to launch their new Duster in the Indian market. It is a compact SUV, the exact launching date of which is not announced. It can be expected to launch by the middle of 2012. 

Talking about the engine, it has a 1.5 L diesel  engine providing two variations- the first one having a maximum power output of 85Bhp and the second one would generate a peak power of 110Bhp. Speculations are gaining ground that the Duster would be provided with a right-hand driving option for the UK markets as well.

Three wheeler using Hydrogen fuel-HyAlfa, Hydrogen powered 3 wheeler

Hydrogen fuel was introduced in the three wheeler world. The world’s first hydrogen powered 3 wheelers- HyAlfa was launched on experimental basis at Delhi, India. Use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel in the vehicle HyAlfa will be the pioneer among Hydrogen powered vehicles. HyAlfa project is the completion of 20 years of experiment.

Ford EcoSport SUV launched

Ford's EcoSport car launched in the Indian market. Ford presented the car in the Auto Expo 2012 held at New Delhi, the centre of Asian car market. The most fabricated design, advanced technology, safety are the features of Ford EcoSport car. The new car has very less weight. Increased fuel efficiency is another important feature. 

Ford is expecting EcoSport as an important model to boost the presence of Ford in countries like India, Brazil and the global car market.

EcoSport was released in South America in the year 2003. About 700,000 cars were sold within 9 years. Derrick Kuzak, vice president of Ford Global Product Development said that the new EcoSport is a milestone in the Global development.
